A novel cost-effective method for combustion synthesis of AIN powders

摘要
A novel cost-effective method for combustion synthesis of A1N powders was reported. The effects of nitrogen pressure and the addition of ammonium halides on the combustion reaction process without inert diluents and the phase composition of the combustion products were investigated. It was found that single-phase fine A1N powders with high purity and low oxygen content could be synthesized without using of inert diluents. Furthermore, the nitrogen pressure greatly influences the nitridation degree of aluminum and the microstructure of the combustion products.
