CHARACTERISTICS OF BRACHIARIA BRIZANTHA CV. MARANDU DURING THE ESTABLISHMENT ASSIGNED OF DIFFERENTS LEVELS OF NITROGEN

Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu is the most explored in production of bovines in pasture. Thus was evaluated the effect of the nitrogen levels ((0, 20 e 40 mg dm(-3) week(-1) of N) on agronomics characteristics (dry matter - DM and morphological compounds), morphogenesis (leaf appearance rate [TA(p)F], leaf elongation rate [TA(1)F] e senescence leaf rate [TSF]) and structurals (average leaf weight [CMF], number of leaves tiller(-1) [NFP], tiller average weight [PMP] and tiller density [DP]) and the leaf area (AF) of Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu, during your establishment. The experiment was conducted in greenhouse arranged in a randomized design with three replicates for each treatment. However, the positive effect of the nitrogen levels on TA(1)F, the CMF, DP and the AF were the factors that contributed for the increase in aereal DM improving the Marandu establishement.
