摘要
In this paper, we proposed an adaptive weighting for joint source and channel rate-distortion optimization. The weighting is adjusted based on some measurements of MSE in previous encoded MB. The resulting videos for source loss and channel loss perform better than our prior work; the proposed method has higher winning rate over H.264 standard with the rate being 93.66%. Another novelty is that the proposed method does not require prior knowledge about the performance of different weightings, and the optimal weighting can be found adaptively.
