Effects of Rayleigh Backscattering in Long-Reach RSOA-Based WDM PON

摘要
We investigate the effects of Rayleigh backscattering in a long-reach RSOA-based WDM PON. The results show that the Rayleigh-induced penalty depends highly on the gain of the remote EDFA and the lengths of drop fibers. (C)2010 Optical Society of America
