摘要：
Avian egg yolk antibodies are a distinct alternative to mammalian antibodies. They are used widely in bioscience research and in diagnostic systems. Various aspects of the advantages of laying hens as an antibody source and a laboratory animal are described. Freud's adjuvant is used for the induction of an immune response to the antigens, but caused considerable lesions in the tissues of chickens. The influences of adjuvant and/or antigen on the egg laying capacity are discussed. New cages for the maintenance of chickens are described.
