摘要：
1944 was a critical year for the Polish Home Army. During the summer several crucial decisions were made that were to affect the future direction of Polish government. In Lublin the local forces of the Government-in-Exile attempted to aid in the liberation of their province and to reinstall a government which was loyal to the London Poles. During the summer of 1944, therefore, this small provincial city became the setting for a clash between the will of the incoming Soviets and the forces of the Home Army. It was a clash that had tremendous repercussions for the future of all Poland.
