The Classification of a Plant Family based on Morpho-fractal Dimension

摘要
The present paper is dedicated to systemic botany and proposes a more objective morphological classification of Gentianaceae plant family into species and genera using the fractal theory. A collection of 19 Romanian species are collected from the herbarium of Botanical Garden, Cluj-Napoca. The research is conducted on the study of the three genera: Gentiana, Gentianella and Gentianopsis, which were previously tagged into a single genre. Also, two types of corrections were done for quantifying the fractal dimension modification between the herbarium and vivid plant and the modification from the seedlings to the mature phase.
