Wound instillation with negative pressure wound therapy

In the following article, some of the antibiotics used have not yet been specifically cleared by the FDA for topical use; accordingly, KCI is not permitted to specifically promote their use. Selection of the appropriate antibiotic for instillation therapy is based on the clinician's experience in his/her practice, including routine manual irrigation. Some of this clinical experience has been published. For the purposes of this publication, the editor (with the permission of the author) has replaced the specific antibiotic name with "an appropriate antibiotic".
