摘要
Fault diagnosis in industrial systems using the expert system approach has received a significant interest over the last years. The implementation of the appropriate diagnostic system depends on the evaluation of many related factors. This paper compares two expert system approaches that are developed for the faults diagnosis process in hydraulic systems based on specific criteria. One of these systems performs reasoning after dialogue with the user while the second one carries out diagnosis in a fully automatic way. This study investigates which kind of diagnostic system is preferable and which diagnostic system is more suitable for which kind of hydraulic systems.
