摘要
High-speed CNC milling is becoming an indispensable process for manufacturing industry. To increase the process versatility, flexibility, and robustness, Taguchi dynamic approach coupled with a proposed ideal function model is employed to develop an optimal high-speed CNC milling process with high-dimensional quality. Additionally, a test sample with three typical geometries including square, circle, and triangle essentially representing the geometrical variations in the mould and die products was designed for use throughout the experiments. Experimental results show that the dimensional accuracy of the machined product has been greatly improved by the optimal conditions obtained by Taguchi dynamic approach. Moreover, the product can be easily machined to the desired dimension simply by adjusting the programmed dimension according to the mathematical equation by linear regression analysis of confirmed results.
