Ground-state transitions of coupled quantum dots in magnetic fields

摘要
A coupled quantum dot system has been studied by using the method of few-body physics. We find that electron correlation in the double dot leads to angular momentum magic numbers distinct from those of a single dot. Discontinuous ground-state transitions induced by an external magnetic field have been predicted. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
