摘要
The aim of the article is to show the influence of the technological progress on the psychological and even psychosomatic perception of nowadays youngsters. The technological revolution brings dramatic changes to our life transforming the system of education in all its elements: approach, methods, principles, means and institutional format. The article touches upon a number of realities such as digital natives, functional illiteracy, clip mentality, conceptional thinking that an educator has to face as they determine the ways young people receive, perceive, analyze and remember information. The rapid development of television and other digital technologies influences perception so much that young people cannot process or use all the amount of the received information. To achieve good results in educational process teachers should take these changes into consideration when working out and implementing educational systems and technologies. The methods used in the paper, i.e. the method of comparative analysis, observation, sociometry, the method of analysis of products and activities as well as statistical and testing techniques allow to create an up-to-date view of modern students' characteristic features. In conclusion, taking into account these transformations there are some recommendations how to teach modern students with their today's specificities to best advantage.
