摘要
Saccharopolyspora rectivirgula is one of the most famous and most frequent triggers of occupationally induced hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP, e.g., farmer's lung). The detection of the causing antigens is necessary for the diagnosis of occupational HP as well as for exposure assessment at the work-place. Therefore, an ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) based on polyclonal antibodies against S. rectivirgula protein extract was developed and validated. The developed assay is sensitive enough to detect Saccharopolyspora antigens in air dust samples. Thus, it can be used to determine exposure at workplaces in agricultural and waste management environments.
