摘要：
Multimedia is creating new cultures as its application field has expanded from business to areas closer to our life such as the environment, welfare, medicine and education. To realize a practical multimedia culture and society, we are reviewing the interaction between multimedia and energy while incorporating environmental considerations((1)). This paper introduces our efforts in working on the Solar-powered Water Purification Systems that we began developing to ensure energy necessary for telecommunications at the time of disasters, and goes on to discuss its future development.
