Study on Optical Fiber Temperature Sensor Based on Dual-Wavelength Asynchronous Compensating Technology

摘要
On the basis of analysis on the principle of semiconductor absorbing light energy, a novel fiber-optic temperature sensor was presented. A transmitted probe configuration was designed, in which the semiconductor was its temperature-sensing element and optical signal was transmitted through fiber-optic. The dual-wavelength asynchronous compensation technology was adopted to reduce the effect of the factors such as fluctuations in light source and optical fiber connection loss. And measurement accuracy has been improved. Two experiments has shown that measurement accuracy reaches 0.8 degC over a temperature range from 20 degC to 140 degC. The system can be used to measure the temperature of the electrical power system.
