THE EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS OF RESIDUAL STRESSES IN TUBE WITH THICK WALLS

In this paper the residual stresses produced in the welding seam from the tube with thick walls are experimental determined. After welding processes, in the welding seam appears residual stresses which can lead on the failure on the structure. The experimental determination it was made on the samples obtained after the welding processes. For these determinations it was used the strain gauge technique and the common measurement equipment for unit deformations in the analyzed samples. The transducers it was applied near the welding seam for determination of the residual stresses in the interest zones. After stress relieving by vibration technique it was determined the residual stresses on the same specimens.
