摘要
This paper introduces the concept of IoE (Internet of Energy) society, and design study of the future energy systems in the national project sponsored by the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan during FY 2018-2022. An IoE society means a society that combines energy information and the internet and has mutual management of energy demand through information exchange. The mission of this program is designing net zero emissions energy systems in smart society, "Society 5.0." Additional utilization of variable renewable generation by applications of next-generation power devices for distributed solar photovoltaic systems is analyzed. The total amount of the hosting capacity in Japan is 331 GW, and approaches zero emissions target of the electricity sector in 2050. Efficient inverters can increase effective utilization of grid-connected photovoltaic generation.
