摘要
This paper presents an overview of the differences in end-of-life scenarios and legislation for electronic products across different regions in the world, i.e. Japan, Western Europe and the United States. It is analyzed what decisive factors that the cause of the differences and how these relate to the producing companies' aim of designing products with a low impact in the end-of-life phase. Some concluding remarks are made about future developments in this respect.
