A Study of Auxiliary Force and Hinder Force of Farmers' New Technology Adaption on Labor Transfer

Labor transfer causes the change of factor endowments, which generates the induction force in the farmers' adoption of new technology. But the application of induction force is affected by the auxiliary force and the hinder force. This paper study the influence of auxiliary force and hider force on farmer' new technology adaption under the conditions of labor transfer on the basis of survey data collected from the farmers in Jiangsu Province. The result indicates that the auxiliary force as well as hinder force has the impact on the induction fore in a positive and a negative way respectively to the farmers' new thchonology adoption. The paper argues that reducing the cost of adoption is the key of farmer' new technological adoption, and the approaches for motivating farmers to adopt new technology should be initated from two aspects which are strengthening the auxiliary force and reducing the hinder force.
