Game theory applications to optimal flow control in communication networks

摘要
The problem of optimal flow control in a single communication network servicing a number of customers has been studied extensively. Here we model the service as composite M/M/I queue with each user controlling his own flow rate to maximize his own power function. It is shown that the problem can be reduced to one of a competitive game and that it is possible to design strategies converging to a Nash equilibrium for the game.
