The Role of Information Institutions in development of the digital services for improvement of Scientific Research - The case study - Khartoum State

Scientific research is the cornerstone of the wheel of development in Sudan and therefore it was necessary to pay attention to his information and to show his role in various fields Scientific information services are one of the important pillars of the beneficiaries, but this information becomes worthless or useless if it does not reach its attendees in a timely manner and to the extent appropriate, so it was necessary to introduce modern technologies in the services of beneficiaries. In Khartoum state there are multiple information institutions. The researcher noted that the information institutions suffer from a shortage of human and technical staff, the techniques used in the services of the beneficiaries and there is a decline in the information services and systems provided by these institutions. Khartoum State. The study used a number of scientific methods in the descriptive approach. The study used the following tools: Data collection as a main tool in data collection, interviewing and observation. The questionnaire was distributed to the heads of departments and staff in information services and The second to beneficiaries (researchers - graduate students) of applied sciences (medical, agricultural, etc.) in the Center for Documentation and Information at the National Research Center. At the end of the research, the thesis concluded the conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which are the weakness of human and technical resources, which prepare the infrastructure in the information institutions and the low information services in those institutions. The researcher recommended that the state give utmost priority and support the information sector at the level of public policies and work to provide non-traditional information services to suit the specialized nature in libraries and seek to develop cooperation with international and regional frameworks in the field of information and accelerate the establishment of the National Information Center.
