摘要
Fe-ZSM-5 is a catalyst that due to its structural properties, shape and size selectivity and electronic environment, promotes the formation of metallic complexes that exhibit unusual catalytic properties, as are the iron complexes stabilized in a ZSM-5 matrix. The steam-activated Fe-ZSM-5 is an appropriated catalyst for decomposition of N2O, due to the formation of active species, particular to this system, which are influenced by the conditions of synthesis, activation and reaction. Influence of iron content over catalyst conversion, between 400 and 600 degrees C, was determined in this study, as well as the effect of not having Al. The catalyst FeZ-27/152 exhibited the highest conversion (96.47%) at 550 degrees C, and it was also noticed a clear influence of iron content over textural properties and catalytic conversions, achieving 100% N2O decomposition at temperatures close to 600 degrees C.
