摘要
When a single client needs a building the normal procedure usually produces low quality. The establishment of big general contractor-companies or powerful clients leads to a loss of price transparency and variety of building types. The robot-oriented construction method will allow to satisfy all requirements of all parties who are involved in construction and achieve a robot-oriented building market. This will increase productivity and profitability because the robot-oriented construction process is characterized by minimized construction time, high variety and flexibility of design. This process will lead to more complex and coordinated building systems and will need an integrated design method to fulfil any functional requirements and regional building codes. Joining will be a key technology to reduce time of assembly. Due to the high working speed of robots, even small elements can be assembled quickly on-site. This results in a high design flexibility and minimized construction time. A robot oriented building block system requires well defined conditions, which can be achieved by the prefabrication of value added and highly finished small blocks, that have to be only finally assembled on-site. Especially if finish operations can be reduced through high degree of prefabrication the construction cost can be decreased - or profitability of buildings can be increased. Installations such as ducts and pipes can be integrated in building elements. In the early design and conception phases all conditions of construction have to be defined in their physical and geometrical quality. With a clear product hierarchy, the advantages of Industrial Robotics in the controlled environment of factories for mass-production of small and value added elements can be used thus on-site construction time can be reduced.
