摘要
The chemical and mineralogical composition and the particle-size distribution of the fine earth of loose soil-forming rocks (moraine deposits and loesslike loams) have been studied in detail within the East European Plain. The composition of the fine earth of moraine deposits is compared with that of the bedrocks of the Baltic shield as the source of moraine material. The genesis of different types of fine-earth deposits is discussed. It is concluded that many specific features of these deposits are inherited by all the zonal soil types within the East European Plain.
