Hydrothermal Synthesis and Performance of Lanthanum-Doped NaTaO3 Photocatalyst

摘要
Well crystallized La doped NaTaO(3) nanosized particles were prepared by a single-step hydrothermal method. The product was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Photocatalysis experiment was carried out under ultraviolet lamp using 5mg/l safranine solution as degradation solution. The results indicate that La doped NaTaO(3) has orthorhombic phase. The grains are cubic with a size distribution from 200nm to 300nm. The doping of La ion in NaTaO(3) led to a slight lattice distortion and a narrow band gap. So La doping NaTaO(3) has higher photocatalysis efficiency than pure NaTaO(3).
