LIVING MEMORY CULTURAL PROJECT: 20 YEARS OF PAULO FREIRE'S COMMUNITY LIBRARY

This article talks about the cultural project "Memoria Viva: 20 years of Paulo Freire's Community Library (BCPF), approved by the Aldir Blanc's Law in December 2020 on which was held at Presidente Figueiredo county (AM). It exposes the memorial story of the creator and teacher, Elzimar dos Santos Ferreira. As for the methodology, it is based on a qualitative approach through action research, especially because of its social characteristic articulated on a community intervention strategy. From this perspective, the methodology of the project developed by her and its actions are presented with plans of communication, cleaning, renovation, maintenance of space and documentary production. The theoretical foundation approaches the library as a non-formal or non-private educational space that encourages the social, artistic and cultural development of its partnerships, especially with schools and universities. Therefore, the cultural products created within the project are offered as new opportunities to the future generations.
