摘要：
In this paper, we present a new method for automatic generation of soccer video summary using MPEG-7 descriptors. Our framework contains two layers: Shot generation and scene detection. Hidden Markov model (HMM) is applied with multiple MPEG-7 descriptors to segment and. classify shots from video in the shot generation layer. In the scene detection layer, the temporal transition of the classified shot sequence is analyzed to construct scenes and detect their meaning from some given semantics. ne generated summary contains two kinds of highlight scenes/events. The first event is goal and the second includes foul and missing-shot. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method and prove the usability of MPEG-7 descriptors.
