摘要
Security optimisation in the production of anticancer chemotherapy agents includes a final step in their control, prior to administration to patients. We have tried to find a dosage method which is simple, quick and repeatable, and allows us to answer three questions: which molecule, at what concentration, and which dilution solvent? A technique using ultraviolet (UV)-visible and infrared (IR) scanning (Multispec, Microdom, Taverny, France) was chosen. The validation of the equipment and the creation of a database were evaluated retrospectively, before being employed as standard procedure. So far, 22 molecules have been checked both qualitatively and quantitatively. Some extrinsic variables needed to be taken into account, such as the actual volume of the solvent bags and the actual concentration of the industrial anticancer solution used. Homogenising the preparation is also a major variable, requiring the training of personnel in the use of a specific procedure. The chosen technique fulfils the proposed requirements and criteria. This study will show its value during the prospective and actual use of the technique.
