New method for detecting cable faults

摘要
Cable networks have become larger, more complicated, and are being used for longer and longer periods of time. As a result, cable faults happen more quickly and frequently and the testing of cable faults has become more difficult([2]). In this paper, a high-frequency narrow pulse testing system is introduced. This system applies SPCE061A MSC and a high-speed data acquisition system to discern and cope with the data produced by the reflection waves. The principle of the system and the software and hardware's design are also introduced in this paper. The experiments show that this test system can meet the efficiency and accuracy requirements required by today's cable testing professionals.
