A non-linear adaptive approach for image filtering

An adaptive non linear filtering technique has been recently developed on the basis of the integration between fuzzy and topological measures, for the filtering of a selected object in a grey level latest obtained results. The performances of the proposed technique have been evaluated both from a qualitative point of view and from quantitative evaluation using standard error measures, with respect to different kind of noise. The proposed methodology potentiates the previous works, overcoming some of them drawbacks and improving the performances.
