Studies in stroke models in animals reveal that partial obstruction of the infrarenal abdominal aorta can increase cerebral blood flow (cbf) and reduce infarct size without significant alteration in blood pressure. We now report on the results of treating a series of patients with postsubarachnoid hemorrhage (sah) vasospasm with a novel endovascular dual balloon device (NeuroFlo TM, Coaxia, Inc., MN).
