Individual Development of Rural Floating Women in the Background of Non-Agricultural Transformation

As the urbanization level is continually improved in Shandong Province, a large number of rural female laborers flow in the cities, shifted to non-agricultural industries. Through in-depth and analyses, the author studied individual development status of rural female laborers after shifted employment in Shandong Province, based on 1058 questionnaires of such laborers. Shifted to the non-agricultural industries, the rural female laborers not only make contributions towards urban development but also get individual development to change their notions, enhance individual consciousness and improve their capabilities. However, they still encounter certain shortcomings during individual development, so individual, society and government shall make joint efforts to boost development of rural female laborers for shifted employment.
