摘要
Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder that causes motor symptoms such as rigidity, tremors, bradykinesia, and postural alterations in patients [1]. Technology can be used to improve the quality of life of people with PD [2], [3]. For example, the monitoring of involuntary tremors in the patient's extremities that allows doctors to identify the degree of progress of the disease and make adjustments to the pharmacological treatment, providing an improvement in their quality of life. This project seeks to help people with PD through the use of technology to monitor tremors, using a system based on electronics and the Internet of Things (IoT). For this, a prototype is developed that allows monitoring the frequency and intensity of tremors, which is based on low-cost electronic devices, such as accelerometers, sensors, microcontrollers.
