Technology plays a key role in the daily lives of the various generations in the workplace, and this is particularly true for the Millennial Generation. This paper will explore the attitudes, concerns, and expectations associated with these individuals with a focus on institutions of higher learning and preparation of these individuals as they leave the college environment. The implications for higher education in building transferable skills attractive to organizations in recruiting and retaining these individuals will be described. Key insights will be provided from the analysis of interactions with students at 2 institutions of higher learning.
