Future of Sustainable Development

As the flagship event of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT), the IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (IEEE ISTAS) provides a multi-disciplinary platform for practitioners, researchers, engineers, policy makers, NGOs, technologists and social scientists. It provides a global forum for representatives from the public, private, education and research, and societal sectors, to collaborate, exchange experiences and good practices, and discuss social, cultural, economic, and ethical implications of current and emerging technologies. The level of emphasis placed on SSIT's five fields of interest (global development and humanitarian technology; ethics, human values and, technology; social inclusion; human society and future use of technology; and sustainable technology) reflects the priorities and activities of those whose papers and oral presentations were accepted in the scientific program of ISTAS 2015. © 1982-2012 IEEE.
