摘要
Z-source inverters play a vital role in the conversion of dc voltage to ac. A new half-bridge-based impedance source inverter topology is proposed by this paper. This topology provides both boost and buck functions, making the proposed topology available for most applications. Equivalent circuits are used to evaluate the proposed topology's operational modes in order to calculate the boost factor and power ratings of the devices used. Moreover, the design-related equations are obtained through these analyses for the passive elements, including capacitors and inductors. The suggested topology's virtues and demerits are determined by comparing it to existing structures. Besides, the proposed half-bridge-based Z-source converter is analyzed in detail to get its power losses and efficiency. In the end, a prototype design is taken to experiment in the laboratory. The findings of this experiment are used to verify that the suggested topology performs correctly. Furthermore, the experimental results demonstrate that the established equations are valid.
