摘要
Power measurement data for motor driven pumps is used to calculate demand factors and generator demand for shipboard microgrids. The loads are grouped into two main classes including engine room and deck part based on their type of pumping. The class-based demand factor is a function of the average power over a period of time, peak or rated power of the equipment, and operating condition. The class-based generator demand is a function of the number of all connected equipment, distribution feeder loss, and operating condition. With the use of field load measurement data, comparisons are made between demand factors estimated with and without the proposed method. Estimated whole voyage generator demands for three typical commercial shipboard microgrids are also calculated and compared to generator demands estimated by the existing method.
