摘要
On the basis of the four targets on the scale of production, technological innovation, potential technological competitiveness (technological funds, and technical staffs), and conversion efficiency of resources, we selected 13 indicators to construct a evaluation index system of high-tech industry competitiveness, and then used factor analysis to compare high-tech industrial competitiveness of 30 provinces except Tibet in China. The analysis revealed that the key factors that impacted regional high-tech industrial competitiveness include scale-output capability, technological innovation capability, and efficiency of output; above all, the scale-output capability is the most important factor. In addition, the paper revealed that there was a great difference in the competitiveness of every factor between regions. Finally, combining the results of empirical analysis of this paper and the status quo of China's high-tech industry development, we give the proposals how to accelerate the development of China's high-tech industry.
