摘要：
This article defines and traces the new art discourse in the Tijuana-San Diego border region, which I define as hypoborderism, in contrast with the border aesthetics from the 1990s and the early 2000s. Six art events, that took place in Tijuana-San Diego from 2017 to 2020, are reviewed to show how the new discourse about hypoborderism operates on the border. Thus, this text is a conceptual approach to understand the tendencies of the recent border art as well as its current theoretical redefinition.
