摘要
A new series of phenyl thiazole derivatives has been synthesized by condensing ortho diketone, substituted aldehydes and aromatic amines. The structures of these compounds were established by spectral data. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for their antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H-37 Rv strain and antimicrobial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, A. niger and C. albicans. Most of the compounds have shown significant antitubercular, antibacterial and antifungal activities when compared with the standard drugs.
