摘要
Mobile Ad Hoc NETworks (MANET) have gotten a lot of attention in recent years, especially when it comes to routing protocols like proactive, reactive, and position-based routing. Following that, routing protocols' main objective is to transmit data packets from their source to their eventual destination. Identifying the best routing protocol is a common problem in Ad Hoc networks. This paper presents a performance evaluation study of proactive; Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), reactive; Ad Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV) and position-based routing; Location-Aided Routing (LAR1). The QualNet v5.1 simulator was used to conduct the performance evaluation study. In addition, throughput, average end-to-end delay, average jitter, and energy consumption measurements were used to evaluate the performance of those routing protocols. This paper depicts that OSPF and AODV have the best performance among the number packet sizes for the tested protocols.
