{2-[(2-Aminophenyl)iminomethyl]-4-bromophenolato-κ3N, N′,O}chlorido-bis(dimethyl sulfoxide-κS)ruthenium(II)

The title compound, [Ru(C13H10BrN2O)Cl(C2H6OS)(2)], shows a distorted octahedral Ru-II coordination with the N2O tridentate Schiff base ligand and one dimethyl sulfoxide ( DMSO) molecule bonded in the equatorial plane, and the Cl and another DMSO ligand occupying the axial positions. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot Cl and N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds into one-dimensional chains along the [ 100] direction. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot Cl interactions. C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions are also observed in the crystal structure.
