Analysis of jitter in ring oscillators due to deterministic noise

摘要：
Noise in ring oscillators has both random and deterministic components. In this paper anew metric for measuring jitter due to deterministic noise sources, called peak jitter, is developed. Predictive jitter equations are presented for deterministic noise that is symmetrically/asymmetrically injected into the oscillator. These equations agree with direct simulation and highlight the difference between symmetric and asymmetric noise injection.
