摘要
The design of special purpose gear mechanisms in engineering requires using gearings with small angles between the wheel axles. Frequently, the task to make such gearings based on traditional gearings (cylindrical and bevel) with the required layout and operation features fails. The gearings made based on involute-bevel gears have a wider applicability range. The work presents geometric calculations of helical-bevel gearings with small angles between the wheel axles. The gearings are shaped of an involute-bevel gear and a simple cylindrical wheel. The calculated dependencies allow designing gearings for both crossing and intercrossing axles. The results presented in the paper allow making a geometric calculation of the face gear on crossing axes both with a localized and a linear teeth contact. The presented dependencies could also be used for the design of gears on crossing axes (bevel gear groups) assuming the axial angle is zero, as well as for the design of gears made of common cylinder escape wheels (helical gearing) assuming the bevel angle is zero.
