摘要
It is based on the recognition that education by cornpetencies constitutes one of the ways to face the pertinence and quality of education in general and of the training of professionals in particular. The aim of this work is to support the close and indissoluble relationship between knowledge and professional competences in the higher-level education process and its expression in Surgical Nursing. For this purpose, a reflexive critical study based on analysis and synthesis was carried out, as well as the verification of the validity of the points of view assumed as referents for the elaboration of a surgical or perioperative nursing text used in the training process of the nursing professional in a university institution. It is shown how in the Nursing career of the Universidad Regional Autonoma de Los Andes of Ecuador, the training of this professional has been conceived by adequately integrating the knowledge and competences, expressed in the elaboration of a scientific work that supports it.
