The Relationship between Financial Development and Economic Growth-Analysis Based on Chinese Rural Areas

摘要：
Referring to the theory of endogenous economic growth and financial deepening, this paper uses the Pagano model to examine the relationship between financial development and economic growth in rural areas in China. Although these areas are facing serious financial repression currently, the results of the multiple linear regressions show that positive correlation existing between the two factors based on time series data from 1980 to 2010. The author then proposes several targeted measures from both supply and demand perspective to remove rural financial suppression.
