摘要
This investigation details the experiments and designs with acquatic weeds like Eichhornia and Pistia which have the tremendous biological capacity to remove dissolved toxic organic and heavy metals from acquatic environments, and also detoxify the acquatic environment by physiological mechanisms. Based on these principles stepwise lagoon systems were designed. The details of this unique biosystem useful for industrial application is discussed.
