Three dimensional motions control simulation for radial displacements in vertical-type PM LSM rocket launcher

摘要
In our previous papers, we proposed a vertical-type permanent magnet (PM) linear synchronous motor (LSM) rocket launcher system of which four acceleration guide-ways with armature-windings are arranged symmetrically along a shaft of about 3.8 m. We analyzed the characteristics of propulsion, levitation and guidance forces of PM LSM in the derived vertical-type PM LSM rocket launcher system by using two-dimensional interpolation method. This paper presents the three dimensional motions control simulation for radial displacements in vertical-type PM LSM rocket launcher. We derived the three dimensional motions equation of launcher and simulated three dimensional motions control of launcher when it starts with radial displacements. The stability of three dimensional motions control and the effectiveness of two-dimensional interpolation method have been verified numerically by the simulation results.
