摘要
The biological effects in vitro of two water soluble inclusions complexes of C60/ polyvinylpyrrolidone (C60/PVP) and C60/gamma-cyclodextrin (C60/gamma-CD), and also the crystalline C60 (as fullerene-covered surface) were studied. It was found that both the two inclusion complexes in the wide range of concentrations and the fullerene-covered surface are nontoxic in darkness for cells in the culture. However, during irradiation C60/PVP complex protected cells from damage by UV light; meanwhile, the C60/gamma-CD complex and the fullerene-covered surface showed during this irradiation the expressed photocytotoxicity. The crystalline fullerene has shown the photodynamic effect not only under UV irradiation but also under irradiation with visible light. The activity of the irradiation was blocked by nonselective antioxidant hypoxen and sodium azide the selective scavenger of the singlet oxygen, which is the evidence that 1O2 plays the main role in the photocytotoxicity of fullerene preparation.
