The cross section for hadron production in γγ collisions at LEP

摘要：
The cross section sigma(gamma gamma --> hadrons) is measured at LEF by the L3 and OPAL collaborations in the range 5 GeV < W-gamma gamma < 145 GeV. The analysis which is model dependant, is performed using the PHOJET and PYTHIA Monte Carlo generators. The L3 and OPAL results are compatible. The observed increase of the cross section with W-gamma gamma is discussed.
